Melanie Carroll uses willow from the Somerset Levels to make traditional English baskets including shoppers, log baskets, laundry baskets, hampers, picking baskets, bottle carriers etc. Baskets made to measure. Willing to teach or demonstrate basketmaking. Visitors welcome at workshop but are advised to telephone first. Baskets sold from stock. Commissions and repair work undertaken.

Maggie graduated from West Surry College of Art 1993.  She has exhibited in London, provincial galleries and in private collections in GB and Germany - including that of an ex director of the Tate Gallery. Her work is influenced by her practice of meditation, offering a sense of calm to the viewer.
